Your wait is over. Here’s the step by step instruction to making a family-friendly weed pizza
#Step 1: Making the Dough
Pour warm water in the mixing bowl and add sugar and yeast to it. Allow the mixture to sit for 15 minutes.
*We use yeast as a leavening agent which fluff-up the pizza dough. We’d want our pizza dough to rise-up quickly. Yeast forces air and bubble in the pizza, making it bubbly and chewy.*
Add cannabis-infused oil and salt in the solution and stir till it blends well.
* We’re using cannabis oil instead of CBD toppings because it will give a consistent texture across the pizza servings.*
Put on 2.5 cups of the all-purpose flour in the cannabis-infused oil mixture and whisk it properly.
* We’re using all-purpose flour because it gives a softer crust. For a crispier tone, go for bread flour. All-purpose flour is a good fit for its less-gluten content as we are crafting a healthy pizza dough.*
Knead the remaining flour on a flatter and clean surface until the dough shape is ready and doesn’t feel sticky.
*Kneading is an essential process of rolling your flour, which makes dough light, airy, and chewy. Press the dough away with the heel of your palm, and pull it over the back with your fingers.*
Place dough into the oil bowl we made. Cover the top with a cloth. Allow the kneaded dough to rise double its size. The process will take upto 45 to 60 minutes. Once you allow it to fluff up— punch it and create a tight ball. Leave it as it is for a minute and then roll it out into the pizza base.
*We use proving cloth to cover the bowl as it protects the dough from drying out. It also keeps the dust at bay. Keep your dough bowl in a lukewarm temperature. Excessive heat can trigger a faster action from yeast, and cold surrounding will slow the rising-up process.*
#Step 2: Making the Sauce
Chop-off the tomatoes and place them on the frying pan. Sprinkle pepper, salt, oregano, and rosemary over the tomato. Pour half cup of warm water.
*Use everything in proportion. Don’t overdo with salt and oregano. Keep it simple and edible.*
Simmer the pan for 12-15 minutes. Set the temperature at medium heat, something around 162°F.
* Here’s a quick fact. For an increase in every 18°F, your sauce will lose double the flavor. If you cook it at 180°F, you’ll likely have a half-the taste of what you’ll have at 162°F*
Add more water if you want to thin it out. Similarly, boil the sauce at a consistent temperature to make it less watery.
*If you’re not satisfied with the thickness of your sauce, add a bit of starch. Since we want a healthier pizza sauce topping, we’d recommend you to avoid it.*
#Step 3: Topping the Pizza
Pour 1/4 cup of the cannabis-infused oil in the sauce and stir it properly.
*Please maintain the ratio of cannabis-infused oil. You won’t want to over-pour as it may not go well with kids and adults.*
Spread the sauce on pizza dough.
*Apply approximately ¾ cup of sauce on one pizza dough. Spreading the sauce will call for a little finesse. Look for sauce consistency across the dough and ensure that it doesn’t get soggy.*
Drizzle a bit of cannabis cooking-oil on the sauce and then add your favorite cheese on it. Pick any of your preferred toppings. And our unbaked pizza is ready.
*We recommend you to add mozzarella cheese for its super delicate and elastic texture. Its smooth milky flavor also has a phenomenal meltability in the mouth.*
#Step 4: Baking the Pizza
Preheat the oven to 400 F (205 C) – 500 degrees F (260 C).
*If you are building a large and thick-crusted pizza— you might have to limit the temperature close to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Keep the heat high enough to cook the crust altogether, and not good enough to burn the toppings.*
Bake your “can’t wait to chomp” pizza in the preheated oven until the crust turns brown and cheese turns golden. It would hardly take 10-15 minutes.
*Overheating will scald-up the pizza stone too much. This may burn your pizza crust before the heat reaches topping. So, stick to the temperature and timings.*
Pull it out and voila! You’re ready to gobble down the pizza.
*Make sure everyone gets equal slices. Avoid wars over pizza.*
Our pizza is customizable— from cheese to Sauce, Cannabis oil to CBD oil— you can make weed or CBD pizza!
You don’t have to learn the recipe by heart. Apply your creativity and experience to customize it. You want to make CBD pizza? Great! Instead of choosing a full-spectrum cannabis oil, you can pick a broad-spectrum CBD oil that doesn’t have any toxic or psychoactive impact in your body.
Is it attainable? Of course!! The recipe remains the same. You just have to grab CBD oil close to your heart and replace cannabis-infused cooking oil with it. To save yourself some time, buy yourself the ready-made pizza dough.
But we suggest our readers take a break from edibles that need to be consumed exactly when they’re bought up. CoronaVirus calls for safe practices to deal with the situation.
If you’ve made up your mind to buy ready-made ingredients like dough and sauce— just have them in isolation for 24 hours. That kills all the viruses and makes your ingredients safe to use. Use them to make a palatable Italian god of dishes. For appetite stimulation, you can serve mini pizzas as perfect hors d’oeuvre.
Confused calculating the ideal THC amount for your pizza?
¼ cup of cannabis-infused oil has 250 milligrams of THC. We could have used THC-free cannabis oil, but if getting high is your agenda— full-spectrum cannabis oil is the key ingredient.
If you slice-up your pizza in 15 equal pieces, then each slice should have 16.67 mg of THC. To ensure that THC spreads well throughout the pizza, you’ll have to stir the oil properly in the dough.
The future of weed pizza looks great, provided our future gets safe from this pandemic!
Weed-infused pizza has already made up its place in various towns of the United States of America.
The pot lovers have been brilliant in showcasing their kitchen artistry so far— the reason why we get to hear new cannabis-infused recipes like marijuana tea, cannabis gelato, weed brownie, etc. CBD edible cooking directions for recipes like CBD steak-salad and CBD Mojito every single day.
Much like any CBD-infused recipes, cannabis pizza will steadily become a hot-favorite menu in many restaurants. The future looks very promising, but the only “thing” that’s unpromising is us amid human-wrecking virus.
So, are you already looking good at making your first marijuana pizza? Great! Never eat pizza the wrong way— scientists say that it can affect the taste. We’d leave it to decide if you want to fold and eat it up or just chomp it down without stretching and folding. :p
